Mass Effect 3 characters EDI and Admiral Hackett will reappear in the upcoming Extended Cut DLC. In an interview with G4, former Battlestar Galactica actress and voice of EDI, Tricia Helfer, confirmed, “I’m voicing some more Mass Effect on Monday.”

Similarly, actor Lance Henriksen, who voices Admiral Hackett, also told G4 of his return. “I just did another session with them…They were saying there’s a little bit of a problem with the abruptness of the ending,” Hendriksen said. “So we did a whole series of things to add to the end of the game, to live up to the quality they’ve been doing.”

Helfer and Henriksen join the likes of Raphael Sbarge, voice of Kaidan Alenko, as confirmed reappearances. Sbarge tweeted earlier this month, “Just when you thought I would never go back, they keep PULLING me back in #MassEffect!! Recording!! Yay! Wha-hoo!”

Kaidan Alenko’s return guarantees the appearance of Ashley Williams as well, since Ashley acts as a replacement for Kaidan, depending on the player’s choices.

In perhaps one of the biggest fan uprisings yet, the ending to Mass Effect 3 sparked so much controversy that developer BioWare agreed to reevaluate the game’s final moments. Although BioWare will not change or add to the game’s final three choices, extra ending content is being created to appease angry fans.

The Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC will release later this summer as a free download.
