The Flaming Lips
are about a week out from climbing into The Endeavor, as their tour bus is lovingly nicknamed, and embarking on their attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most live concerts in 24 hours in multiple cities. Set times have been revealed, bringing us one step closer to a very Flaming day in the south.
Frontman Wayne Coyne and his merry band of Lips will be traversing the deep South in an attempt to snatch the record that Jay-Z’s currently holds, and the eight shows they’re playing are happening at various hours of the day over June 27-28. Here’s hoping that the fine denizens of Hattiesburg, Miss.—the ones who want to see the Flaming Lips perform, anyway—are morning people.
The tour will happen in conjunction with the O Music Awards, the world’s first 24-hour live award show. O will dole out one award per hour, totaling 24 awards over the course of the show. Fans can go to OMusicAwards.com to vote for the winners.
Check the dates and set times below. Tickets can be purchased through the individual venues.
