In Celeste and Jesse Forever, the Celeste (Rashida Jones) and Jesse (Andy Samberg) in question have not been together forever, at least not in the traditional sense.
They’ve just divorced after a ten year marriage, but they still consider themselves the best of friends, and they’ve got a secret hand sign to prove it. Celeste and Jesse Forever was directed by Lee Toland Krieger and debuted at Sundance in May. The film, which features Elijah Wood and Emma Roberts in supporting roles, is set to distribute domestically, but no release date has been announced. If you fancy the song playing in the background, by the way, it’s called “Drifting in and Out” by Porcelain Raft, and you can listen to it more over here.
