Good news for those of you who tearfully said goodbye to Kenny Powers in April. According to Vulture, Eastbound & Down is headed back to HBO for eight more episodes. The network renewed the show yesterday, along with True Blood and The Newsroom. Nevermind that Eastbound technically had its series finale with its third season earlier this year—it wouldn’t be the first time a series has dragged itself out of the grave.
Eastbound & Down
is a baseball comedy starring Danny McBride as Kenny Powers, a former Major League pitcher who returns home to a suburban lifestyle. The show is produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, and has featured a number of notable guest stars, including Matthew McConaughey and Jason Sudeikis. It will return sometime next year.
