It seems speculation on who will play Johanna Mason in the upcoming Hunger Games sequel can finally come to rest. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jena Malone has beat out actress-model Zoe Aggeliki, who was previously rumored to be the role’s frontrunner. Malone is said to have the offer and currently be in early negotiations.
Malone is best known for her roles in the cult classic Donnie Darko and the ill-fated Sucker Punch. Most recently, she appeared in the History Channel miniseries, Hatfields & McCoys.
Catching Fire will make its way into theaters Nov. 22, 2013.
