Filmmaker Lee Daniels—most well-known for Precious, which netted Mo’Nique an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2009—is currently developing The Butler, a film that follows a White House butler who served under eight presidents.
Daniels is currently recruiting actors to fill the roles of the presidents that will be portrayed, and earlier today a rep for Robin Williams confirmed that the veteran comedic actor will be playing Dwight Eisenhower.
Other actors confirmed to appear in the film are John Cusak, who will play Richard Nixon; Alan Rickman, who will play Ronald Regan; and James Marsden as John F. Kennedy. Liam Neeson has been rumored to fill the role of Lyndon B. Johnson.
The cast will also includes Jane Fonda as Nancy Regan and Minka Kelly as Jackie Kennedy.
