There’s finally some good news for those who have been eagerly awaiting a reunion with Harry and Lloyd. In an interview promoting The Three Stooges’ theatrical release in the U.K., co-writer and co-director Bobby Farrelly talked about the long-planned Dumb & Dumber sequel:
“The story revolves around the fact that one of them may have sired a child,” he tells Digital Spy. “They want to go and find the child because he’s having a kidney problem and he wants to ask him for one of his kidneys.”
Although reports in June said Jim Carrey backed out of the project after becoming frustrated with the studio’s lack of enthusiasm, and Jeff Daniels is busy in The Newsroom, Farrelly says he still hopes to get the original cast back together and begin shooting in the spring for a release next fall.
