The Magnetic Fields
have announced a short six-date fall tour that will kick off Oct. 25 in Hudson, N.Y. and wrap up with two shows in Washington D.C. on Nov. 17 and 18. The final four dates of the tour will feature writer Emma Straub opening for the band with readings from her novel Laura Lamont’s Life in Pictures.
The tour is in support of Love at the Bottom of the Sea, the band’s most recent full-length album that was released earlier this year.
The Magnetic Fields’ website notes that more September and October dates will be announced soon, as will some Stephin Merritt solo dates.
