Former Sleater-Kinney member Corin Tucker is set to release her second album with her current band, Corin Tucker Band, on Sept. 18. The band’s latest record is titled Kill My Blues.
In an exclusive interview with Paste, Tucker revealed that this album was an entirely collaborative process from start to finish, with each band member assisting in the songwriting process. On their last tour, Tucker found that numerous audience members wished to dance throughout their live show, which is something that was taken into consideration during the creation of the new album.
When asked whether this record built upon the band’s debut album, Corin stated the album represents “another direction entirely” that features several surprises along the way.
