Grizzly Bear’s new album Shields may not come out until Sept. 18, but fans can preview it for free on NPR’s ‘First Listen.’ The 10-track album follows their 2009 hit Veckatimest.

The band has become more than a home-recording project for lead singer Ed Droste. With an ambitious psychedelic sound and the willingness to experiment, Shields makes for an excellent follow up to their most successful album. Stream Shields in its entirety at
