This year marks the 45th anniversary of The Velvet Underground’s seminal release, The Velvet Underground and Nico. To celebrate, Castle Face Records will release a compilation of covers of songs from the album by some of the label’s favorite artists.
They’ve been incrementally releasing streams of some of the covers leading up to the release, the latest of which being Thee Oh Sees’ take on “European Son,” which you can stream below. We’ve already heard The Fresh & Onlys’ take on “All Tomorrow’s Parties,” Ty Segall’s version of “Femme Fatale” and White Fence’s cover of “Run Run Run.”
