Ben Folds Five
recently released The Sound of the Life of the Mind, their first full-length release in 13 years. Last night, the band made an extended stop at The Colbert Report to promote the new record.
Folds and fellow band members Robert Sledge and Darren Jessee sat down for an interview with Stephen Colbert, which they then followed up with a performance of “Do It Anyway,” one of the standout tracks on The Sound of the Life of the Mind.
During the interview, they discussed why the band is called Ben Folds Five despite only having three members, what has changed for the band over the past 13 years and why the new album is titled The Sound of the Life of the Mind.
