Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Announce New Album

Nick Cave  and the Bad Seeds have announced the release of their 15th studio album, Push the Sky Away. The nine-track LP is set to follow up 2008’s Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! and is scheduled for a Feb. 18 release in the U.K. A U.S. release date has not yet been announced.

“Well, if I were to use that threadbare metaphor of albums being like children, then Push The Sky Away is the ghost-baby in the incubator and Warren’s loops are its tiny, trembling heart-beat,” Cave said about the album.

Push the Sky Away was recorded in a 19th century mansion in France under the direction of producer Nick Launay (Gang of Four, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arcade Fire). Though the complete album will not be released until February, the leadoff track and first single, “We No Who U R,” will be available Dec. 3.
