The lineup for the 2013 Governors Ball Music Festival was announced Tuesday and includes Kanye West, Nas, Kings of Leon and a still-to-be-determined mystery headliner among a total of 64 artists and bands set to play during the festival.
This time around the Governors Ball boasts more Top 40 juggernauts among its mostly indie rock lineup and has added a day to its overall length since last year, according to Billboard.com.
This will be rapper Kanye West’s first solo performance in New York City in five years. American indie music darlings Grizzly Bear and the English indie pop band The xx are both slated to play at the festival as well.
In addition to music events, the festival will offer other activities such as lawn games, ping-pong and something known as the Silent Disco, where you dance and listen to live DJs by wearing wireless headphones.
The 2013 Governors Ball Music Festival will take place June 7-9 on New York City’s Randall’s Island and early-bird tickets go on sale at noon on Friday Jan. 25.
