According to USA Today, Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurtwitz confirmed fans will not see a complete Bluth reunion on the show’s fourth season on Netflix Instant. The viewers will have to wait until the planned (but still unscheduled) movie.

Originally the returning fan favorite was to be 10 episodes that ultimately served as a lead-in for the feature film. The episodes would each focus on a different family member and explain what they have been doing since they all fled the Queen Mary in 2006 as well as establish the circumstances that bring the Bluths together for the movie. Thanks to the substantial amount of footage, the episode count has grown to 13 or 14.

Only Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) will be appear in all season four episodes as he checks in with each person in his dysfunctional clan. Season four will also feature several returning favorites such as Henry Winkler, Liza Minnelli and Mae Whitman.

Arrested Development season four episodes are expected to be released simultaneously on Netflix in May.
