Kate Hudson Signs On to Design Fashion Line with Ann Taylor

With a new career move, Kate Hudson joins the ranks of celebrities like Beyonce, Jessica Simpson, Justin Timberlake, who have all created their own fashion lines.

E! Online reported that Kate Hudson has signed on to be a guest designer for Ann Taylor’s capsule collection. Hudson is known for her everyday style influenced by red carpet fashions, making her a perfect choice for this Ann Taylor line.

According to the report, the Almost Famous star will be working with Lisa Axelson, Ann Taylor creative director, for the duration of the project.

In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, Hudson only had good things to say about working with the company.

“Working with Ann Taylor has been a great creative experience, and there is a really wonderful connection,” Hudson said. She adds, “Ann Taylor is great at creating iconic wardrobe staples and updating them season after season… I love that Lisa Axelson is designing clothes for real women.”

Still, as we know, making the fashion line is easier than making sure it’s successful (side eye, Kanye), but we have no doubt Hudson’s line will end up on the list of celebrities who have made triumphed.

In addition to a guest designer gig, Hudson has signed on to be the face of Ann Taylor’s ad campaign for the second year in a row.

The collection is set to hit stores in May.
