Muppets Sequel Titled Muppets...Again!

According to Entertainment Weekly, the sequel to 2011’s The Muppets is titled Muppets…Again!

In an interview with the legendary icon himself, Kermit the Frog provided further plot details about the highly-anticipated European adventure movie.

“The idea of this film is that our gang is on this global tour, and we’re selling out these grand theaters all over Europe—in Berlin, Madrid, London—but we sort of get into a little bit of trouble when we run across my doppleganger.” Kermet the Frog told EW. “He’s the world’s number one criminal, Constantine, and he happens to look an awful lot like me. I won’t tell you any more than that, but let’s just say mayhem ensues.”

As previously reported, the casting for the human characters in the upcoming film is quite star-studded with Ricky Gervais, Ty Burell and most recently Tina Fey. Gervais will play the sidekick of villan Constantine.

In addition to writing the script with Nicolas Stoller, James Bobin will return to direct the sequel. Bret McKenzie, who won an Academy Award for Best Song for “Man or Muppet”, will continue to serve as music supervisor and write songs for the film.

Muppets…Again! is currently filming in London and is expected to be released March 21, 2014.
