According to Deadline, Albert Brooks is set to reprise his role of Nemo’s dad, Marlin, in Pixar’s sequel to the 2003 animated comedy Finding Nemo.
Brooks will reunite with Ellen DeGeneres who will also return to voice the quotable fan-favorite Dory. Previously reported, co-director and story creator Andrew Stanton is also attached to this upcoming project. Plot details are not yet available, but Finding Nemo 2 is expected to be released in 2016.
In addition to winning an Oscar for Best Animated Film in 2003, Finding Nemo is the second highest-grossing Pixar film behind Toy Story 3. The celebrated animation studio’s Monsters Univeristy hits theaters on June 21.
