Team Coco is now set to dominate D.C.
In a tweet sent out early this morning, WHCA President and Fox News Channel correspondent Ed Henry stated that late-night host Conan O’Brien has agreed to headline the White House Correspondents dinner on April 27. Deadline and USA Today confirmed the story.
This will be O’Brien’s second time MC-ing the dinner. He previously participated in the 1995 ceremony when Bill Clinton was president.
The annual event, which sees an established comedian roasting various members of Washington’s higher echelon (including the President), has served as one of the Capitol’s most buzzed-about events since its earliest incarnation in 1920.
Recent hosts include Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers and Wanda Sykes.
