She’s been on television, written cookbooks, been portrayed by Meryl Streep in a movie and now Julia Child will be featured in her very own comic book.
The latest installment in Bluewater Productions’ Female Force comic book series is a 32-page biographical comic book about the American celebrity chef who is credited with bringing French cuisine to the United States.
Written by Michael Troy and illustrated by Nathan Girtin, Julia Child’s comic book chronicles Child’s life from her birth to other important events such as her time at Le Cordon Bleu and her television show The French Chef.
The Female Force comic book series is described by its publisher as a “female empowerment series” and has featured female historical figures in past issues such as Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Margaret Thatcher and J.K. Rowling.
