Motown has lost two of its own.
Two members of The Temptations died: Otis “Damon” Harris and Richard Street, as Spin points out.
As the The Baltimore Sun confirmed Friday, Harris died Monday, Feb. 18 after 14 years of dealing with prostate cancer. Harris was 62.
At 70 years old, Street died on Wednesday from a pulmonary embolism, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Though the legendary Motown-era singing group had seen their share of members join and leave them due to various conflicts, Harris and Street were members of The Temptations at the same time, having sung together as band-mates for four years. Both men joined The Temptations in 1971 but Harris left in 1975 and Street left in 1993.
Harris and Street even sang together on one of The Temptations biggest hits: the 1972 classic “Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone.”
