Dedicated X-Men fans pay attention; exciting things are happening in our world.
In the past few days, Bryan Singer has released two pictures from the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past, the sequel to X-Men: First Class, which is due out summer 2014.
Getting excited over two still images probably seems a little desperate—it kind of is, but the images do reveal something about the plot.
Singer, who will produce and direct the film, released a picture via his Twitter account of Professor X’s wheelchairs. They resemble the ones he had in the original trilogy, meaning the film will probably bring us back to the Xavier we know and love, not that we minded seeing James McAvoy kick ass as the pre-paraplegic Professor X.
The other image, tweeted yesterday, also brings back memories as it looks like this movie will spend some time in the Xavier Institute we recognize, fully equipped with Cerebro and plenty of mutants.
The tweet also asked, “How many days until Comic Con?” implying some type of panel—or preview—might be in our future.
James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence are set to reprise their roles in the film while some new faces join the cast as well.
