Week on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon is now behind us, and the singer made sure that he finished with a bang. Not only did JT offer up a medley performance of hits to close out the show, but Jimmy Fallon joined him and continued one of their most beloved traditions: “The History of Rap.”
For the hits medley, Timberlake offered up “Like I Love You,” “My Love,” “Cry Me a River,” and “Señorita.” Also included was a lyrical change-up to include lines from “Niggas In Paris,” a song by future tourmate Jay-Z and recent critic Kanye West.
“History of Rap 4” included a fun blend of rap songs old and new, including bits from songs by Beastie Boys, Missy Elliot, Chamillionaire, and Eminem. Also, props to The Roots for keeping up with all these songs.
Next up for Timberlake is a trip to South by Southwest.
Check out both videos below and Justin Timberlake’s new album The 20/20 Experience is out on Tuesday, at which point everyone who is not a Timberlake fan can safely return to the internet.
