Nine years after their last album, Southern hip-hop group Goodie Mob is set to release new music, according to a report by Fuse.
The news was confirmed by Larry Mestel, manager of founding member Cee Lo Green. Titled Age Against the Machine, the album is slated for a June 18 release.
“It’s future-sounding,” Mestel says. “It’s not really what you would think Goodie Mob would be. I think people will be surprised in a positive way when they hear it.” Mestel further hinted that the band are planning to tour behind the album
The group has reportedly been working on the album since 2009, but conflicts in schedules has caused several delays. In January, Cee Lo told Fuse that the album was “pretty much done.”
