Fox has picked up five new comedies for the upcoming 2013-2014 season, backed by stars such as Andy Samberg and Seth MacFarlane.

The much-anticipated Brooklyn Nine Nine is a single-camera ensemble comedy penned by Parks and Recreation writers Michael Schur and Dan Goor and starring Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher. The cop comedy will follow an idle detective who has to deal with a new no-nonsense boss.

Seth MacFarlane’s upcoming live-action multicamera comedy Dads will star Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi as best friends whose lives change when their fathers move in with them.

Other acquirements include the working-title coming-of-age comedy Surviving Jack, based on Justin Halpern’s book I Suck at Girls and starring Christopher Meloni as a man discovering what it means to be a dad.

The heartfelt family comedy Enlisted features Geoff Stults and follows three brothers living on an Army base and the group of misfits who surround them.

Us & Them is based off the wildly successful BBC 3 Series Gavin & Stacey and stars Jason Ritter and Alexis Bledel as a young couple trying to make a long-distance relationship work.
