Broken Social Scene, Feist to Play Fallon

Since joining late night TV in early 2009, Jimmy Fallon been consistently bringing some of the best acts in independent music to his show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and now he’s managed to grab Canadian collective group Broken Social Scene for their first performance in almost two years.

According to Fallon’s website, the Toronto-based band will perform along with frequent collaborator/member Feist on the show’s Thursday night episode.

The band, which announced an indefinite hiatus in August 2011, has regrouped for a limited time in support of the 10th anniversary of their label, Arts and Crafts. They previously released a new track called “Day of the Kid,” that will appear on the label’s forthcoming compilation, X, and their only other scheduled performance is June 8 at Arts and Crafts’ Field Trip Festival in Toronto, where they have confirmed that they will play through 2003’s You Forgot it in People in full.

Don’t miss the Canadian rockers on Thursday’s Fallon, which airs at 12:35 a.m. EST on NBC.
