Kanye West may be spending his time with his newly born daughter for now, but according to a co-producer from his new album, Yeezus, the rapper is set to get back to work in the coming months.
In an Ask Me Anything interview on Reddit yesterday, Mike Dean, who co-produced West’s recent sixth solo album, confirmed that West will indeed tour behind Yeezus, though he didn’t specify when the tour would take place.
The news will be well received by Kanye fans, seeing as the rapper did not tour after his previous solo release, 2010’s phenomenal My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, instead opting to embark on a joint tour with Jay-Z following their 2011 collaboration, Watch the Throne.
Dean also confirmed that he will tour with Kanye as part of the band. He has previously played guitar and keyboards for West’s shows at Coachella and Governors Ball earlier this year.
Yeezus is out now on Def Jam Recordings.
