Listen to Nicolas Jaar's Darkside Remix Daft Punk's Random Access Memories

Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter have promised that they will release their own remixes of their recent album, Random Access Memories, and now it looks like they have a little bit of competition.

Darkside, the project of electronic producer and remixer Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington, has revealed a full, album-long remix of the French duo’s recent record on their SoundCloud page. The 14-track remix album, called Random Access Memories Memories, features Jaar and Harrington’s shifty, static-filled take on each of the songs on RAM (though the two-second remix of “Lose Yourself to Dance” hardly counts), and it even includes two versions of “Within.”

Jaar has previously remixed songs by artists from Grizzly Bear to Nina Simone, and he released his impressive debut album, Space Is Only Noise, back in 2011.

Stream the Darkside remixes below, and we’ll keep you updated on Daft Punk’s official mixes as soon as information becomes available.
