After a slight setback, JOBS is finally hitting theaters later this summer.
Official word came via Deadline that the Open Roads film, starring Ashton Kutcher as Apple’s late CEO, is set to be released Aug. 16.
The biopic will chronicle Jobs’ life from college dropout to one of the most esteemed creative entrepreneurs of our time, detailing “the defining characters that influenced Steve Jobs on a daily basis from 1971 through 2001.” Originally, JOBS was set to be released in April but was pushed back due to insufficient time to properly market the film.
The biopic was directed by Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote) and written by Matthew Whitley. James Woods, Dermot Mulroney, Matthew Modine, J.K. Simmons, Lukas Haas and Josh Gad (as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak) also star in the film.
