Last night, Broken Social Scene marked a brief end to their two-year hiatus with a performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Prepping for their on-stage return at this weekend’s Field Trip Festival in Toronto, the beloved Canadian rockers were joined by longtime member Feist for two classic Broken Social Scene tracks.
Performing “Almost Crimes” from 2002’s You Forgot It In People and a web-exclusive “7/4 Shoreline” from 2005’s self-titled album, you’d have never guessed that this was a dust-shaking performance. The band was as tight as ever, careening through the tunes with finesse.
Field Trip is a festival held in honor of the 10th Anniversary of Broken Social Scene’s Arts & Crafts label. Broken Social Scene will be joining Feist, Bloc Party, Ra Ra Riot and more in Toronto this Saturday for the celebratory festival.
