Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.
brought their infectious dance-pop to Conan last night for a high-energy performance of two new tracks, one from Patterns, their latest EP, and another from their forthcoming full-length.
Though the Patterns EP was released in April, these songs still felt fresh and vivacious as the group blended organic and electronic drums, sharp guitar licks and a sleek synth lines.
The group performed “If You Didn’t See Me (Then You Weren’t On The Dancefloor)” from Patterns, complete with a coordinated light show to coincide with their bouncy melodies, bright harmonies and four on the floor drum beat.
While the groups poppy-vibrancy was on display for their televised performance, they showcased their sonic depth and dynamic range with their web exclusive performance of “War Zone”. “War Zone” is a new track from their forthcoming album, one that slowly unravels into an expansive blend of washed-out harmonies and soaring saxophone lines.
