Watch The Roots Cover Daft Punk, Rap Over Super Mario Bros. Theme Song

Last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the host once again returned to his Suggestion Box to fulfill more audience requests. This week’s selections led to the Roots frontman Black Thought rapping over the Mario Bros. theme, and ?uestlove and “Captain” Kirk Douglas covering Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” as Black Simon & Garfunkel.

The “Get Lucky” rendition retains the original’s funky dance grooves but adds a lick of folksy vibes, transitioning smoothly from the electronic duo’s hit single into a brief few seconds of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Boxer.”

Black Thought also put some lyrics to the insanely catchy Mario theme song, name-dropping the likes of Donkey Kong, Daisy, Princess Peach, Boswer (King of the Koopas) and adding a Goomba or two for good measure.

Check out both clips below.
