The Avengers star is trading in saving the world for sex addiction therapy in the upcoming film, Thanks for Sharing.
In the first trailer for the Stuart Blumberg-directed feature, Mark Ruffalo stars as Adam, a sex addict who falls for Phoebe (Gwyneth Paltrow) while undergoing a 12-step treatment program. However, their relationship is tested after Adam reluctantly reveals his secret. The flick made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival last year before being picked up by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions, according to Deadline.
Matt Winston co-wrote the script with Stuart Blumberg, who also helped pen the screenplay for 2010’s Oscar-nominated The Kids Are All Right. The film also stars Tim Robbins, Josh Gad and singer Pink. It’s currently set to be released on Sept. 20.
