Colin Meloy has kept himself busy with literary projects lately—his series of children’s books The Wildwood Chronicles has taken off and will be adapted into a stop-motion film soon—but he’s returning to music with a set of North American tour stops starting in November. The Decemberists’ frontman announced today his first solo tour in five years, coupled with news of another EP composed entirely of cover songs.
Launching at Town Hall in New York City, the tour will venture through major cities like Atlanta, D.C. and Chicago. Pre-sale for tickets begins on July 31 and will be open to the general public beginning on Aug. 2 at Meloy’s website.
