Earlier today Sony announced that the PlayStation 4 will be released in America on Friday, November 15. At a press conference during the Gamescom trade fair in Germany the company also revealed a large number of independent games that will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and Vita, including recent hit Rogue Legacy, the cultural touchstone Minecraft and a new game from the designers of Dear Esther called Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. They also showed the previously announced Remote Play feature in action, which allows players to run “almost all” PlayStation 4 games on the handheld Vita system. Think the Wii U’s GamePad, but smaller and purchased separately. Sony also announced a price cut for the Vita, which is now available for $199.99, both the Wi-Fi model and the 3G with Wi-Fi model. As announced previously, the PlayStation 4 will cost $399 at launch.
