Tommy Lee Jones
plans to breathe new life into the 1972 John Wayne classic The Cowboys.
Jones is writing and directing a remake of the film, which tells the story of Wil Andersen—a tough-guy cowboy who trains a group of young men to serve as his ranch hands. Variety reports that Jones had not yet announced whether he plans to also act in the remake.
At the moment, Jones is working on another film The Homesman. Not only is he directing and writing for The Homesman but he is also starring in it alongside Hilary Swank, John Lithgow, Tim Blake Nelson, Hailee Steinfeld, James Spader and Meryl Streep.
