Pop star Katy Perry has recently joined the likes of Pink, Janelle Monáe and Queen Latifah as the face of Covergirl cosmetics.
According to Huffington Post Style, we’ll be seeing Perry gracing the brand’s cosmetic campaigns this upcoming Spring 2014. Her style will be created by celebrity makeup artist and Procter and Gamble’s Global Creative Design Director Pat McGrath.
Perry is no stranger to the cosmetics world. She has previously teamed up with OPI for her own line of nail polishes and also has her own line of false eyelashes with Eylure, Color Pop. However, her trademark wild style has been tamed down for the all-American brand’s campaign. Gone is the bright blue hair, rainbow lashes and strategically placed whipped cream cannons. Instead, we see a more demure side of the singer. She dons soft, natural hair, curled-yet-understated lashes, berry-tinted lips, flushed cheeks and ‘90s retro blue nails. It’s a look that may be more accessible for the singer’s younger fanbase.
