In an interview with Herald Scotland, Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks revealed that she’s a bit of a fangirl when it comes to Game of Thrones.
When asked about how the passing of her mother affected her work, Nicks said she spent most of her time at home, working on her documentary and watching Game of Thrones:
“I worked on the edit of my documentary about the making of In Your Dreams. And then I got pneumonia. With my pneumonia and my mother’s death I watched the entire first season of Game Of Thrones-so that was great! That certainly took my mind off everything.”
Nicks said she’d also like to write some music for the show and has even written poetry about each of the characters, “The author [George RR Martin] is my age and it blows my mind that he’s able to create this vast, interlinked world,” Nicks said, “I would love to write some music for Game Of Thrones. I’ve written a bunch of poetry about it – one for each of the characters. On Jon Snow… On Arya… On Cersei and Jaime.”
Other musical guests that have contributed to the show include The National, Sigur Rós, The Hold Steady and Snow Patrol.
No word yet on whether Nicks and Game of Thrones will team up for future projects. Season four of Game of Thrones is set to premiere in early 2014.
