New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde made her first American late-night TV spot last night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, where she sang two songs from her debut album Pure Heroine. The opening song was of course the obligatory No. 1 single “Royals,” which sold 117,000 copies in its first week alone—not too shabby for a 16-year-old crossover artist. She also performed “White Teeth Teens,” another song from her new album that bemoans the superficial clique mentality of her peers.
Lorde’s first album Pure Heroine was released last week via Universal Music. You can check out both of her performances on Fallon above.
