Pick a number between two and nine. Multiply your number by nine. Take the two digits of your new number and add them together. Subtract five. Take that number, and turn it into the appropriate letter of the alphabet (A=1, B=2, and so on). Think of a country that begins with that letter. Take the second letter from that country’s name and think of an animal that begins with the letter. Now that you have your country and your animal, project your thoughts onto the screen…
YOU PICKED A DANISH ELEPHANT.
That is a stupid magic trick. For an awesome magic trick that involves David Blaine blowing the minds of Breaking Bad co-stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, see below:
The clip is from Blaine’s upcoming special, which will air Tuesday, Nov. 19 on ABC. The trick—sorry, ILLUSION—is insane enough on its own, but I personally found Paul’s reaction to be the highlight of the clip. I love how he knows it will air on ABC, and just goes ahead and lets loose with the cursing anyway. That’s classic Pinkman. If this happened on Breaking Bad, there’d be a lot more glowering from Cranston, and a Rube Goldberg device that shoots knives and was somehow activated by the rays of sun through the window would suddenly descend from the ceiling and take out everyone but he and Jesse. And then Walt would stare at the camera and say, “I’ve always hated magic.”
