Rob Delaney’s making a TV show! Sadly, it’s not an adaptation of his book (Who wouldn’t watch a show called Mother. Wife. Sister. Human. Warrior. Falcon. Yardstick. Turban. Cabbage.?). Luckily it’s Delaney teaming up with Irish comedian Sharon Horgan (Pulling, The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret) to make a new series for Britain’s Channel 4.
Deadline reports that Delaney and Horgan will co-write and co-star in Catastrophe, a “single-camera comedy about an Irish woman and an American man who make a bloody mess as they struggle to fall in love in London.” There’s no word yet on when the show will happen or when American audiences will be able to see it legally, but knowing Horgan’s ability to rebuff David Cross’s half-assed on-screen overtures, and Delaney’s passionate Twitter-romancing of his neighbor Karen, this might be the cracked transatlantic TV Love Actually we’ve all been waiting for.
