Foothills Brewing, one of North Carolina’s most beloved craft breweries, has announced it’s going to brew a different IPA every month throughout 2014. Each beer will take on different characteristics as the head brewer goes all “mad scientist” with the hop profile month after month. The January IPA has loads of Horizon hops and is then dry hopped with Simcoe and Chinook, offering strong fruity, citrusy notes. Each beer will be named after their month (January IPA, February IPA…) and feature a different girl on each label. Look for the IPA’s on draft and in bombers in limited quantity.

Foothills fans are also looking forward to the February 1st release of Sexual Chocolate, the much-anticipated seasonal Imperial Stout that’s every bit as good as the fake band it’s named after. Typically, roughly 400 people camp at the brewery the night before the release in order to score primo spots in line. This year, Foothills is also auctioning off the first four spots in line, with all proceeds going to charity.
