A mom and daughter in Cincinnati are taking arts and crafts to a couture level. Photographer Angie Keiser and her four-year-old daughter, who she calls “Mayhem,” have made a hobby of recreating runway and red carpet styles in the form of elaborate paper dresses.
“We pull inspiration from wherever we go,” Keiser told the blog Mommy Shorts. Their crafty endeavor, which began due to Mayhem’s interest in fashion around nine months ago, has gained the mom and daughter duo over 200,000 followers on Instagram. Their creations have evolved from simple dresses made of paper and tape to intricate designs—such as a Jenny Packham replica covered in tiny tissue paper flowers—that aren’t far off from the real thing. “Mayhem constructs a lot more than most people would probably believe,” Keiser said. “That’s one of the best things about this project, I see her learning new skills every single day.”
