Many of us enjoy a post-workout beverage every now and then, but a Canadian company has developed a fitness beer designed specifically for drinking after exercise.
Lean Machine, dubbed the “sports recovery ale,” comes to us from the entrepreneurial minds behind Mike’s Hard Lemonade. The low-calorie, gluten-free beer claims to aid in muscle recovery and replenish electrolytes. If that’s not enough, it also contains nutrients, antioxidants and immune-boosters.
The beer, a light pilsner produced in Calgary, is slated to arrive on the market in late summer, so the verdict’s still out on if its taste will measure up to its health benefits.
