X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer is set to head back to the small screen, according to Deadline. The director will reunite with House producer David Shore for CBS’ Battle Creek, a show created from a Vince Gilligan (Breaking Bad) spec. Singer’s involvement as director extends to the show’s pilot episode, and he’s also set to executive produce for the show. Previously, Singer directed the House pilot, where he went on to executive produce for eight seasons.

The show revolves around two law officials at-odds (sound familiar?) to take on crime in the fairly desolate town of Battle Creek, Mich. He joins the show with another House alum, Kal Penn, who has been cast in the show.
