Have you ever been to a party where half of the people are on their phones, disengaged and isolated? The more high-tech our smartphones get, the more distracted from each other we become. But Luke Stern and Sam Wander, two design students in New York City, have crafted a way to use our device obsessions for good instead of evil, and to breathe some life back into social settings.

Game of Phones is simple card game where instead of distracting yourself by checking in on social media, the news, your e-mail, each card will ask you to do an action like “show the last photo you took” or “find the weirdest Google Image search result for your name.” By diverting your distraction into an action you won’t have time to occupy yourself with social technology.

You can personally own Game of Phones by contributing to Stern and Wander’s Kickstarterhere and watch the video below to learn more about the game.
