The voice behind Peter, Brian and Stewie Griffin has another TV project, but this time it won’t be in cartoon form. Starz has ordered a new comedy titled Blunt Talk, which will star Patrick Stewart as a hard-drinking news man.

Earlier today, Starz announced that they have given Blunt Talk two 20-episode seasons. Jonathan Ames (Bored to Death) will write the scripts while Seth MacFarlane produces the comedy series with Media Rights Capital (House of Cards, Ted). Ames has written Stewart to play British newscaster Walter Blunt, who wants to take over cable news and tell Americans how they should live, think and behave.

“In the character of Walter Blunt, Seth, Jonathan and Patrick have found the alchemy that makes a borderline alcoholic, mad-genius-Brit the man you want fighting in America’s corner,” said Starz CEO Chris Albrecht. “Seth and Jonathan have struck the right balance between biting wit and outright absurdity in building this world, and we cannot wait for Patrick to breathe life into Walter.”

Starz  plans to premiere Blunt Talk sometime next year.
