Comedy Central is dipping back into the web series well again.

This time the network is ordering a half-hour scripted comedy from a male duo – Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney – whose web videos have attracted fans like Joss Whedon (see above), The Hollywood Reporter reports. The new show, BriTANick, will follow the pair in fictional situations based on real life experiences. THR writes that in the pilot, “Nick fakes his own death to get out of a relationship as Brian tries to buy his way back into one.”

The network’s last web series to be adapted to TV, Broad City, did so well in its inaugural season that Comedy Central ordered another one. Kocher and McElhaney have more than 30 web shorts to their credit, along with minor TV and movie roles.
