Boulder, Colorado-based designer Matthew Sisson has redesigned and legitimized the classic party game Mafia. The game is popular around the world and is known by a variety of names, including Werewolf, the name Sisson has chosen for his redux of game.

“Werewolf is a party game for devious people,” says the game’s website. “Unlike other role playing games, Werewolf doesn’t require dice, wizard hats, or your mom’s basement.”

Sisson’s version of the game comes with a set of 24 cards, featuring the popular character roles of the game and a wool felt carrying case. If you didn’t go to summer camp as a kid or haven’t had the joy of playing this parlor game as an adult, the rules are fairly simple. Players are divided between villagers and werewolves, with a mission to defend or take over the village.

You can watch this 75-second how-to video for more instructions on the game. Werewolf is currently available for pre-order.
