3D printing was a far out novelty not too long ago, and now the seemingly magical form of manufacturing is becoming about as accessible as you can get.
Just last week, e-commerce giant Amazon launched a 3D printed products store. And while the site sells everything from 3D printers to CAD software and handy copies of 3D Printing for Dummies, their focus is 3D printed items.
The new store allows you to customize and purchase 3D printed products. Most designers print on demand, allowing you to choose color, material and even some detail, meaning each item is awesomely yours (in case you’re not ready to invest in your own printer).
But what’s the main market for these items if we’re not printing off our cars (yet)? Jewelry. And while it hasn’t happened overnight, 3D printed accessories are starting to look pretty, well, pretty.
Check out a few of our favorites on the Amazon shop in the gallery above. And now that you can throw a 3D printed ring, necklace, or even bobble head into your cart next time you checkout on Amazon, let us know what you’d get.
